Non Toxic but useless

I was excited about the cute colors in this set, as was my daughter. However, they chip off really easily. By the end of the day, the nail polish is over 80% chipped off. I've tried using a base coat and a top coat, I've tried not using a base coat and top coat, I've made sure it's dry before she does anything with her hands. All useless. I know it's non-toxic and water based. I just did not realize that those two words also meant it's not really suitable to be used as nail polish. Very disappointed for the price.
